Isn’t it ironic that in this very same year that we have elected our first black President, O.J. Simpson finally gets his up-comings.
I know he was never convicted in his criminal trial. But he was convicted in his civil trial. I blame poor police work and prosecution team for the absence of the conviction in the criminal trial. O.J. completely ignored the rulings of the civil trial and never paid anybody a dime. He bragged about it, too.
The murders of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman were so vicious, hate filled, and passionate, in my mind it had to be O.J. Simpson who committed them. Nobody murders like that without it being very very personal.
So there went the man who got away with a heinous double murder laughing at the law. Laughing at justice. There he went, for how long now? 13 years? He began thinking he was above the law and he began thinking he could do whatever he wanted to do.
So he busts into a hotel room and steals back his own sports memorabilia at gunpoint. I don’t get this myself. I wouldn’t give you two cents for any O.J. Simpson sports memorabilia. But I guess its worth alot to someone. The ego of this guy twisting crimes around in his head to justify them. It boggles the mind.
Well, O.J. Simpson isn’t laughing now. “They face life sentences, mandatory prison,” Clark County District Court Judge Glass said when accosted with bail requests. “Your motions are being denied.”
I have always thought O.J. was guilty. But irony? I think it is a bit ironic and sadly weird or weirdly sad that you would juxtapose these two events. Election of Obama and O.J. conviction. WTF?? What is the connect for you? Just curious.
Interesting blog you’ve got and good luck with your quest for a new job.

That is a fair question. These were probably the most racially charged events in my recent knowledge. I just found it ironic that these are both getting attention in the same news cycle. Perhaps “ironic” is the wrong word though. “Interesting” might be more what I was looking for. It is just a couple significant events for me and I am surprised of their occurance so close together. I’m not implying anything by it, just noting it.
And I am not a very good writer, I just lay things down off the top of my head. Often I will even change an article a day or a couple days after I post it until I hone what I really want to say. Hopefully, I will get better the more I do it. Thanks for the comment.
